China facing excess supply of stainless steel after Chinese mills raise production in Indonesia-The 19th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

It was reported that the stainless steel mills in the world as well as the nickel suppliers were going to face the pressure of the oversupply of stainless steel as China would become a hot-rolled stainless coil importer in December for the first time.
After Tsingshan, Chinese leading stainless steel producer, was scheduled to supply about 6% of global flat stainless capacity in 2017, 3 million tons of stainless steel would be produced by the end of this year from their mega mill in Indonesia.
Furthermore, China’s Delong Holdings was also building up its stainless steel mill in Indonesia in 2019. Experts have predicted that in combining both Tsingshan and Delong for their full production run, they were going to supply more than 5 million tons of stainless steel per year by the year 2021 which was just about 10% of global capacity.
