According to statistics from the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), South Korean hot-rolled stainless steel exports were down to 54,000 tons roughly this October, which was the first decrease for this year.
Among them, the exports to Southeast Asia accounted for 46.6% of the total, followed by Northeast Asia accounting for 29.3% and Europe accounting for 18.1%.
South Korean exports to Southeast Asia totaled around 25,000 tons, of which Thailand had around 12,000 tons; Vietnam had around 11,400 tons; Taiwan had around 1,500 tons. The exports to Northeast Asia totaled around 15,800 tons, and those to Europe were around 10,000 tons.
On the other hand, South Korean 300 series hot-rolled stainless steel exports were around 47,000 tons in October, of which the exports to Southeast Asia were around 20,000 tons and those to Europe were around 10,000 tons. The exports of 400 series were around 6,500 tons.
