The Indonesian stainless steel resources went back to China, which will affect the domestic market in China, especially for ferronickel and 300 series stainless steel.
Currently the capacity of stainless steel in Indonesia was 3 million tons, 2.5 million tons were under building, and over 4 million tons were being planned. In short term, the influence on Chinese 304 will be bigger.
However, in the other perspective, the Indonesian stainless steel products will promote the whole management in Chinese stainless steel industry, as well as increase competition and technical innovation.
