India''s Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited (SSTL), makers of electrical resistance welded (ERW) steel tubes and structural hollowsections, has expanded its production portfolio, commencing production of a range of stainless steel products like hot rolledannealed and pickled (HRAP) coils and stainless steel coils, a company statement said on Friday, December 20.According to the company, these products will be made using captive production of stainless steel slabs and stainless steel coiswith an installed capacity of 60.000 mt per year.
The newly launched stainless steel products are being manufactured using advanced technology and the process of argon oxygendecarburization (AOD) which ensures consistent product quality, the company said
These products are enoineered to meet reauirements of industries ike automobile. railwavs, transport. architecture andconstruction and will be a backward integration for us," SSTL managing director Vikas Goel said.
