According to the statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), in September this year, the average daily output of Chinese crude steel was around 2.7 million tons; that of pig iron was around 2.2 million tons; that of steel was around 3.2 million tons.
In this period, China produced around 66.4 million tons of pig iron, which was up by 4.4% compared to the same month a year ago. The output of crude steel totaled around 80.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%. As for steel, China had a production amounting to 96.8 million tons, rising by 9.8% compared to last September.
