The Omaha
World-Herald reports U.S. Pipe Holdings, Hoover, Ala., will close Griffin Pipe
Products, Council Bluffs, Neb., in May. The company notified local officials of
the closing, which follows its purchase of the company early this year. U.S.
Pipe cited multiple factors in the decision to close the plant, according to
one city council member.
