According to the 301 investigations, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) released the list to levy tariff on the imported products from China. The list included nuts with the Customs Code of 73181600 and some components used in mechanical industries.
At present, the United States government levied the anti-dumping duties on the imports of spring washers and screw piles from China. Chinese manufacturers predicted that more fasteners would be imposed anti-dumping duties after nut products were levied the tariff.
If the United States decided to slap 25% import tariff on Chinese nut products, there were many advantages for Taiwanese screw manufacturers to indirectly obtain the inquiries.
