US' Leggett & Platt to close its wire mill in Jacksonville, Florida-The 21st China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

Leggett & Platt Inc., a diversified manufacturer from the US, notified Florida officials last week that the company was scheduled to close its wire mill in Jacksonville before the end of the year due to the business merger plan. It was understood that there would be about 100 jobs would be affected.
The Jacksonville facility was owned by Adcom Wire Co., a related company of Leggett & Platt., producing drawn steel wire that was used to make products as handles of paint can, bailing wire for recycling compactors, and coiled springs.
The company planned to start dismissing employees from November 22nd, leaving only a small group to clean up until the first quarter of 2020.
