According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 120,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) sheets and strips in March this year, hiking by 19.6% compared to the previous month and also rising by 6.6% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Canada occupied the largest proportion, totaling roughly 65,500 tons, a month-on-month increase of 39.6% and a year-on-year hike of 11%. Mexico ranked second with around 53,000 tons, and the exports to other destinations were less than 1,000 tons during the period.
During the period, the export value totaled around US$170 million, up by 21.8% month on month and by 34.6% year on year.
