China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel maker in Taiwan, announced to keep its AP plate price for June. The deal price still remained stable in the range of NT$20,400~20,700/ton.
Originally, it was expected that AP plate price might be increased due to the small price gap between leeway plate and AP plate price. CSC might consider current low import sources and weak demand in the market.
Therefore, CSC decided to keep its AP plate price flat for June. The firm reduced the AP supply quantity during April due to the heating furnace update. After that, the supply quantity will resume to normal.
