Chile imposes AD duty rate on grinding steel ball from China-- The 20th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

According to the official gazette from Chile government on Thursday (May 3rd), the government decided to levy 5.6% anti-dumping duty on grinding steel balls import from China for one year, after the temporary 9% duty levy by Anti-Price Distortion Commission (CNDP) for six months.
CAP Acero, a steel factory from Chile, requested an anti-dumping investigation to the government, and the investigation had been started from June 8th, 2018. The review product was grinding steel ball in diameter less than 4 inches, under HS code 7326.110.
However, a market participant said that the 5.6% anti-dumping duty was not enough to offset the damage to the Chile industry.
