According to the report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended November 1st, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 822 units, decreasing by 8 units compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rig for natural gas decreased by 3 units week on week to 130 units; that for oil dropped by 5 units week on week to 691 units. The total number had a year-on-year reduction of 245 units.
During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs was down by 5 units to 142 units compared to the previous week, decreasing by 56 units from the same period a year ago.
