ArcelorMittal said the company’s shipments of iron ore totaled 16.7 million tons in the second quarter of this year, soaring by 14% compared to the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, the company’s delivery volume of iron ore in the second quarter was 14.8 million tons, up by 13% year on year.
The steel giant is seeking to increase its iron ore output by 15% to around 40 million tons this year.
According to financial report of ArcelorMittal, the company’s Canadian shipments of iron ore hit 6 million tons, up by 46% compared to the same period of last year.
