It is reported that US’s wire rod prices continued to fall by US$20 per short ton, due to falling scrap prices. Currently, low-carbon wire rod prices at US$430-450/short ton in Midwest region, down US$15-20/short ton compared to a week ago.
However, users and traders need to reduce inventory end of this year. It is difficult to boost market prices, while market demand remained weak.
