Taiwanese carbon steel pipe demand remained stable recently.
However, some mills utilization was decreased compared to previous period of time. Though the deal price was stable, but downsteam customers only purchased for replenishing their inventory.
The demand is not good as expectation, said a market participant. Due to the typhoon disaster in Japan, Japan''s mills cut their slab exports. In addition, China''s mills also reduced their production as environmental protection.
The steel price might not go down in short period of time in Asia. Taiwanese pipe mills expected their upper mill might increase the hot rolled coils price for October.
