It was reported that problem of cash flow and credit continued to impact Turkish motor industries, which caused steel demand weak. It was said that domestic buyers in Turkey were cautious to postpone purchases and the auto sales had been decreased largely in October.
According to latest Turkish distributors association statistics, Turkish sales volume for auto and commercial vehicles dropped by 76.5% to 21,571 units compared with same period. For auto, it decreased by 76.2% to 16,809 units and for commercial vehicles, it decreased by 77.6% to 4,762 units compared with last month.
In the first ten month of this year, Turkish auto and commecial vehicles dropped by 32.5% to 485,027 units. However, according to Turkish motor manufacturer association statistics, their export volume was stable at 1,100,000 units. Although the export was strong, the auto production decreased by 6% to 1,300,000 units.
