Chinese steel industry’s profits grow in 2013--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition

According to report released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the combined profits of the CISA’s 86 member mills totaled RMB16.2 billion in the January-November period, jumping from a loss of RMB800 million in the same period of 2012.
Besides, CISA predicted that the member mills would realize a net profit of RMB18 billon in the whole of 2013, soaring by 11 times from the figures in 2012.
Meanwhile, the steel industry’s overall profits in the January-October period amounted to RMB157 billion, surging by 40% year on year, according to data released by the National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC).
