Japan settles low carbon ferrochrome contract prices for Q2--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhib ition 4/1/2014 Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition
It is reported that Japan’s stainless steel mills have settled contract prices of low carbon ferrochrome at average US$199.5 cents/lb in the second quarter this year, an increase of US$2.5~3.5 cents/pound compared to the last month.
There is the second consecutive quarter for price increases.
Meanwhile, some market participants said that Japan’s domestic manufacturers are facing supply shortages of low carbon ferrochrome.
