EUROFER warns European steel industry likely to face risks-The 20th China(Guangzhou) Die-casting, Foundry & Industry Furnace Exhibition

The European Steel Association (EUROFER) warned that jumbo risks on European steel industry might happen due to the comprehensive influence of increasing imports, sluggish economic growth, increasing and fluctuating raw material costs and roaring carbon prices.
Actually, these factors have already began to affect European steel producers, including the increase of idle factories, drastically reduced steel production.
According to EUROFER’s statement in 2018, the European steel demand growth was 3.3%, but a negative growth would happen this year.
EUROFER held the position that all governments within the EU should step up handling the most prominent and major threat, that was the influx of materials imported to the EU.
