According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 266,400 tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in October, slightly falling by 0.7% compared to the previous month while hiking by 27.6% from the same month a year earlier. The export value reached roughly US$284 million, a month-on-month decrease of 1.6% and a year-on-year surge of 194.2%.
In the first ten months of this year, Turkey’s HRC exports totaled approximately 2 million tons, sliding by 11.2% year on year. The export value had a year-on-year increase of 72% to roughly US$1.7 billion.
Among them, the top three export destinations included Italy (around 527,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 32.9%), the US (around 342,100 tons, a year-on-year surge of 2947.9%), and Spain (around 319,700 tons, a year-on-year hike of 5.08%).
