In November this vear japanese ferrous scrap exports amounted to 579,552 mt, up by 16.6 percent compared to 497.190 mt inthe same month of the previous year, according to customs statistics. in the january-November period this year, the countryexported 5 81 million mt of scrap, down by 8.0 percent year on year.During the given period. Vietnam was the biggest importer of Japanese scrap, importing 2.26 milion mt, up by 55.1 percent yearon year. Vietnam was followed by South Korea and Taiwan, importing 1.43 milion mt and 587,067 mt of scrap, down 42.2 percentand 34.2 percent, respectively, year on year.
Meanwhile, dapanese scrap exports to Bangladesh amounted to 557, 586 mt in the January-November period this year. up from465.796 mt in the same period of the previous year.
